Squamata Blue Star grows into a beautiful bun shape with eye-catching blue-grey foliage that adds a stunning shade to any garden, small or large. The evergreen conifer is neat and compact, the tight foliage acting as a great shelter for small colourful alpines that require partial shade for best growth. The dwarf conifer belongs to the Cupressaceae family and is slow growing, eventually developing into a mounding shape. Squamata Blue Star adapts well to a variety of different soils and no pruning is necessary, resulting in an easy to care for conifer. Its silver blue foliage is attractive in all seasons making it a must-have for any gardener. The female cones produced, contain one seed and the conifer can be positioned in full sun, making it a hardy addition to gardens, and one which requires little attention once established.
